Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

The short version: the calculators run in your browser and store nothing, the email list lives on our own servers and is never sold, and ads only set cookies with your consent.

Who we are

income.ie is operated by S5 Ltd (company number 16842049), 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU — the data controller under UK and EU GDPR. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

The calculators store nothing

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are never sent to us, logged or stored, and no tool needs an account.

The email list

If you ask us to email you, we store your address and which form you used — in our own EU-hosted database, not a newsletter platform — and use it only to send what you asked for. Double opt-in, one-click unsubscribe in every email, never sold or shared. Kept until you unsubscribe.

Analytics and server logs

We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool: no cookies, no personal data, only aggregate counts. No Google Analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security, typically up to 30 days.

Advertising and cookies

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Ads on reference pages (pay scales, tax guides) are served by Google AdSense — Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure them, so in the EEA and UK a consent message appears before any are set. Decline and you get non-personalised ads; change your choice any time through the message's manage options. See how Google uses this data and Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links; once you follow one, that company's own privacy policy applies. We share no personal data with partners. See the disclaimer.

Legal basis

Consent for the email list and advertising cookies (withdrawable any time); legitimate interests for server logs kept to protect and run the site.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and receive your data in portable form. Email [email protected] — we respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK ICO or the Irish Data Protection Commission.

The rest

Where our hosting provider processes data outside the EEA it is covered by appropriate safeguards (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework); the subscriber database stays in the EU. The site is not directed at children under 16. If what we collect changes, this page and the date above change with it.
